What began as a dream has become a reality for Howard Hanson and the partners of Capital City Condominiums. In the spring of 2004 Howard had the vision to provide Fredericton with quality built affordable condominiums, something that had never been done in the Fredericton area.

Since marketing the condos only two years ago, over 150 units have been built and sold. A new 48-unit complex is now under construction and already units have begun to sell, proving that Howard's vision was truly a success. To implement his plan, Howard knew it would take a team effort. He called on his son Adam Hanson along with his brother James Hanson and James' son Jody Hanson to become partners in this venture all of who carried out their own business in the construction industry. Together they have formed a strong partnership with each partner bringing his own expertise to each project.

Howard remains in charge of all site work and preparation of each building while James is in charge of construction. Adam handles the everyday business while Jody's job is managing the various trades. With the company growing in leaps and bounds, they have had to add more help to the front office staff. Brenda Hanson, Howard's wife, has joined the team as a color expert, helping people decide on the vast amount of options that there are to choose from.

Andrew Wheelan was recently hired as head of marketing and sales. Though the front office staff is usually those who get recognized, they realize the importance of the various trades used on each project along with the countless staff each vendor employs. It is through their continued efforts that each project is successfully completed on time.

Howard and James would also like to thank the various employees that work directly for them at Oak Ridge Manufacturing and James Hanson Quality Framing. Most importantly we would like to thank those of you who purchased a condo from us because with out you these projects would not be possible.

The new development, which is schedule to begin in the spring, is a 10-year project. The location on this will be an extension of Lian Street and will connect to the Hanwell between Ritchie's and Enterprise car rentals. The project will include townhouses, garden homes, condo units and possibly some rentals. This location has enough space to house 600 units comfortably. Capital City Condominiums have only been in business for two years the Hanson name has been building quality projects in the city for the past 35 years.
